Good Will Hunting (1997)

Does that encapsulate you? Personally...I don't give a shit about all that, because you know what, I can't learn anything from you, I can't read in some fuckin' book.

Unless you want to talk about you, who you are. Then I'm fascinated.
I'm in.

But you don't want to do that do you sport? You're terrified of what you might say.

Your move, chief.

Goodbye May

C'mon are you serious? How do you even do that?

If Dave Franco was in my class, my attendance rate at lectures will be 100%. Hello. How are you? A little late, I know. I've just finished my assessments last week and was able to celebrate with a victory Boost. Here are the kodak moments of May.

Goodbye April

Source
Huhuhuhuhu...Hello everyone! I'm currently wearing my pyjama top, a hoodie, my high school bomber jacket and to top it off, a thickly knitted scarf. Ack, I'm starting to think Melbourne has only two seasons now with winter and summer! Trying to get out of bed in the morning has now reached a new level of no.

...

Meilin & Sophia's 21st birthday @ Maccas | Wesley's 9th birthday
6/4 & 19/4

April held the last batch of girls turning 21. They were the babies of the group, as most of us are now only a few days, months away from turning 22 already!. The twenties club still feels unreal to me. I've even mistaken myself for 18. A Maccas birthday party was the real deal this time. I haven't coloured in nor played an intense game of musical statues in years. Thank you for organising the party girls!. It was certainly a brilliant idea and a tribute to our childhood.

Free Ben & Jerry's ice cream @ Uni | Kimchi Hut w/ Linda | Watermelon Mojito @ Nitro Lab w/ girlfriends
10/4, 11/4 & 22/4

I should have known better than to wear my flats on a rainy day. On a brighter note, I was able to enjoy a hot beef soup with Linda. Inexpensive comfort food on a gloomy day makes me all fuzzy and warm inside. And yes, ice cream on a cold day counts as comfort food too!.

Supanova
12/4

On weekends, my cousin would come over for lunch. I'd ask her what anime/manga she'd be into and her answer changes every week. So it wasn't surprising that Supanova was not an unfamiliar term to her, and that she squealed over the phone when I told her I'd be taking her there for the first time. I've actually never seen her so bubbly and confident before. This was her ultimate niche. I can't believe we spent the whole day there and walked around the place more than three times. It was a visually great experience for me too, despite asking "Who's this? what's this? what's that?..." literally all the time to my cousin...Guess who's coming back next year to babysit her again? ≖‿≖

ACMI First Shift | Chinese Mountain Dog
13/4 & 27/4

I didn't realise how quickly I became proactive towards the public when I'm standing in front of ACMI. I'm still very new so I may have accidentally pointed a few people to the wrong direction *nervous laugh*. So if you feel like exploring the city, don't be afraid to come say hi to me at ACMI!

Richard & Chi's Wedding
25/4

I went to mum's colleague's wedding, only to find out later that the bride is actually a year older than me. Second wedding in my adult life since October and both brides have chosen mermaid dresses and played "A Thousand Years" as their first dance. This time the wedding was very simple, small but still very cutely presented with a pink and blue theme. I got my lobster.

Dat ass
20/4

My grandfather pulled me out of the house to the backyard to show how a pomelo (Chinese grapefruit) resembled a round butt. Now I know why they call the grapefruit, "look yao" in Cantonese because if you swap the first word from "look" to "loh", the meaning changes to "butt".

...

So who's been playing in my head this month? I present to you, the lovely Sayuri Sugawara! I've never really delved into j-pop ballads, but she is without a doubt a stunning combination of cuteness and maturity. The strength of her vocals never ceases to amaze me *fangirling*.
...

It's the last month before exams. The. last. month.
So let's bring it home guys!
Good luck.

Goodbye March

March has been a delightfully inquisitive month for me. I'm proud to say I've also been able to cross off two of my goals for the year. The process was simple and complex. With any beginning, I'd be lying if I said fear was not a vivid state of mind. If I'm able to persist through the first few steps, fear becomes a turnover for potential disappointment. So I tend to remain quiet for a while. It is during this period where I've summed up the courage to tell myself that I'm more stronger than I believe. I'm now doing things I was once scared to do years ago. This new-found emotional strength is unreal, I'm growing up

Doctor's Appointment
3/3

You can scold me for prolonging my summer's cold by choosing to go out instead of resting at home. I still have no regrets for attending Melbourne's White Night, despite being incredibly bedridden the next day. I was getting worse and tossing between five different medications. Mum decided to make a doctor's appointment for me without my knowledge. It was the only way to get me there; I hate visiting the doctor.

Alys & Tina's 21st birthday @ Zanuba Restaurant and Bar
8/3

You cannot deny this bunch of truly gorgeous girls.

Westall Station Woe with Annie
11/3

I was on the train travelling from uni to the library for reading buddy when there was an abrupt stop at Westall. The next station was my final stop, and I had an ounce of hope that whatever was faulty would be fixed soon. An unfortunate accident had occurred at the following station so everyone had to get off the train. I was quickly immersed in the flurry of people alerting the news on their phones. Many expressed their frustration and tiredness. Despite the commotion, I was able to bump into Annie and Vu who both kindly offered a lift to the library for me. In the end, Annie's father came to pick us up and I arrived 15 mins late to the reading session. My lovely literacy officer was very understanding of my situation.

Fridge door won't close... | Little guy wants my food!
15/3 & 19/3

Lan's Graduation @ Melbourne Exhibition Centre |
Passionfruit Cheesecake @ Nitro Lab with Linda
27/3 & 28/3

Congratulations to one of my closest buddies, Lan for graduating with a Bachelor of Design (Interior)! You made it and we're all so proud of you. The ceremony was held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre where it was filled with hopeful and proud loved members of the graduates. I'm honoured to be invited as one of these people accompanied with her mother, brother, boyfriend and Steph. I have seen Lan work extremely hard throughout her degree so I'm eager to see the what the next steps in her life will be!.

ACMI Training for the DreamWorks Animation Exhibition
29/3

Dear Karen
Thank you for your recent application to volunteer at ACMI. We are pleased to invite you to join the Volunteer Program for the DreamWorks Animation exhibition period (April - October 2014).

Have they sent the email out to the wrong Karen? I couldn't believe it! The selection process was noted to be gruelingly competitive and I've been fortunate enough to be at service to the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI). I'll be leading the public around all the stunning work and behind the scene pieces of both the minor and major DreamWorks films (I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2). If you have trouble distinguishing which film is Disney or DreamWorks, try recalling the little boy fishing while sitting on the moon before the opening scene!

...

Every time I walk into Haikara ($2.80 Japanese store) they've always trapped me by playing old school DBSK songs. I can't walk out of the damn place until they finish the song.

...
As always, I hope you've been well and I'll see you in April.
Take care and ciao for now!
