N&A

So it's not gonna be easy. It's gonna be really hard.
We're gonna have to work at this every day, but I want to do that because I want you.

I want all of you, forever, you and me, every day.

The Playlist

There's always a story behind every song.

Here's mine.

Jesse McCartney
While standing in the train home from uni, I was listening to this song as I played Zombie Farm on my Itouch. It was peak hour so when the train halted to a stop, I was still so intrigued at my game that I lost my balance and fell backwards into my classmate Sahan. Even though he caught my fall, I felt so embarrassed!

Ron Pope
This was the first song a guy had ever sent me. Was there a hidden message? Hey I was only sixteen, I'm silly like that.

Beast
This is one of my favourite recalls. Today's morning twilight was cold and quiet, and I was on my way to an exam. Sitting alone on the train, enjoying the winter sights of the Melbourne city with it's sleepy citizens and not worrying about being late - this was my piece of heaven.

JYJ
Sophia played this song from her phone in hope to emotionally warm us up as we both stood under an umbrella in the pouring night rain. We had just celebrated Sophie's birthday from the city and were waiting for her and Jesse to drive us home from the station.

JYJ
One of my favourite songs to walk home to. I also take extra care when crossing the roads after watching the music video! Other walking songs include: Shampoo - Afterschool, Trouble Maker - JS & Hyuna

AI Ft Boys II Men
This is a special one. Out of all the songs he had sent me, this is my absolute favourite. I've played it over 1000 times times; on the train, before I slept, as I walked home, and I've thought of him each time. This connection of mine will never fail.

Ed Sheeran
Sophia wears braces and Sophia likes Ron Weasley.

Life
SHINee
Uy was so kind enough to request this song for me to be played on the radio! Which I missed out because I was buried under the VCE tyranny.

Taeyang FT Kush
Dad was driving in the rain on the road that had the orange sticks coming from the side. I forgot where we were heading to, nevertheless I always loved a good long drive in the rain.

Katy Perry
Sang this acapella style with Sophie during English class. We even sat up the front! Our infamous duet did loosen up our a bit of our nerves during our final year of high school...or we just went plain insane.

Spice Girls
Only for Janet and Jp. I humiliated myself at rapping and singing this song during Singstar. They knew I wasn't good and I knew I wasn't good either! We all laughed our butts off. Why? Cause that's what love does. Other Singstar songs I've shunned to my name: Mr. Roboto and So Happy Together

Rico Love
I was in the study room secretly going through Stephinee's Ipod (Ipods weren't allowed at school). I was sitting near her desk, with my rain jacket opened widely to cover my arms and the device when I across this song.

The Righteous Brothers
I remember watching Ghost for the first time with Lanneth on messenger - oh this girl  ♥

Ermmm...makes me think of Yen.

F

I’m Freddie and I met a girl I like today. She’s like…beautiful.

Sweat once a day.

Cardio exercise (40 minutes)
Jogging 5 - 6km/hr on the treadmill
27/2/12 Average distance: 3.5km

Core strength training (20 minutes)
Zumba Fitness Work out

1 hr a day
for 20 days

and I'm still going.

Previously, I (along with the rest of the world) believed the way to become skinny at a rapid rate was to starve. I would eat less and ignore the hunger pains by sleeping it off. After that I'll crave even more and ultimately binge. I felt disgusted at my actions and regretted every bite I took. I thought to myself "Who would want to look at you like this?" So what did I do again? Starve. If you were thin, you'd always have it better in life. Thin. Thin. Thin. Thin. Thin. There was no satisfaction to this emotionally and physically damaging method of "weight loss".

My uncle gave me a couple of Zumba exercise videos one weekend and told me in just a week, his abdominal muscles were starting to strengthen. One of the videos lasted for about 20 minutes, pretty easy and quick right? That 20 minutes of video was in fact so painful my stomach became sore the next day. I hadn't done any regular exercise since Year 11 so my body must of went into shock! I couldn't use this tool alone. You need more than just 20 minutes a day to see results, so I decided to combine core strength training with cardio to keep my heart rate up. I took a step onto the treadmill I had neglected for the past two years and boy, I never knew how much I could push myself to. Each day I became stronger, always   pushing myself to do a little extra more each time. Whether it's a few more calories burnt or metres ran than the last session, I continued to build up endurance. I was sweating like a pig. I looked as if I had just given birth to walrus and you know what? It felt so damn good. To me, a day without a cold shower is a day wasted

70% of your abs are made in the kitchen: I'm starting to swap my meal choices with something healthy instead. I don't necessarily feel ashamed of myself when I eat now. There are times when I've fallen, but hey we all have our bad days. It's not the end of the world! Don't always punish yourself! Slow progress is still progress.

After 20 days, I've never seen my obliques quite defined before. It's actually pretty amazing! They're not rock hard toned sexy, yet something is there; and it's mine. I'll keep working. I'll keep going. I'm not blessed with a naturally small unchangeable figure, but at least I'm happy and on my way to a healthier me. Being thin is overrated. Being healthy is being strong.

Good girls don't eat?

That's bullshit.

Beastly - Alex Flinn

"A beautiful thing is precious, no matter the price.
Those who do not know how to see the precious things in life
 will never be happy."

I haven't read a novel since The Secret River since Year 12 (sorry for making you cringe) and I finished Beastly by Alex Flinn in two nights. It was an easy and enjoyable read. I applause this modern re-telling of the classic fairy tale Beauty and the Beast. You've suddenly incorporated the childhood Disney animation into your mind am I correct? Whilst holding that familiar and nostalgic feeling (feelings that Disney never fails to create), I'm pleased that the author has included references from other Beauty and the Beast versions that most people wouldn't have come across. Since I've also watched the film adaptation produced one year after the release of the novel, the two types of portrayal are very loosely simulated. Then again, it's Hollywood my dear. I'd also wish for more development on Adrian's longing for Lindy. Overall, the Beastly ride has been an exquisite one for me. Something I need more in my life I say. In this day and age, we are obsessed with our outer appearance. Despite the pressures of society and the media, we ourselves can determine what's desirable and what's ugly, but one thing will always remain beautiful - Love. Love is never ugly.

Liebster Blog Award

From the very quick Google search, the origins of the Liebster Blog Award are unclear, but it is a German word for"darling" or "beloved." It is given to bloggers who have less than 200 hundred followers, allowing for lesser known blogs to be appreciated and recognised.
- Beau Desordre

I must thank you Sophie for giving me this award. I began using blogspot at the beginning of my final year in high school just a couple of months after Sophie had started hers. Some days were good, some were not so good and I am so glad to have spent this time alongside Sophie in person and in blog form. Each posts of ours signifies growth, we're always learning together and finding our stand in this complicated yet wondrous world. I'm really thankful for Sophie to have let me into her inner mind, a place where often others do not see. Blogspot has become quite a special place for us, it's constantly treasuring the past - the thoughts that have built us to live another day. Thank you Sophie. Here is her blogspot: http://beau-desordre.blogspot.com.au/
