30: whatever tickles your fancy

wasn't it a month ago that i was comtemplating on whether or not i should make a blog? it's the end of april now and what a great way to finish the month with my very last athletics day.

it was the perfect weather, gloomy and wet but that didn't stop me from having a few kodak moments here and there. anne and i went down to the hurdles event to catch a front row experience of epic stacks. sophie totally raped one of the hurdles.

kudos to lan for the awesome ride back home on the bus :) here's a video of what we did: (sorry for the gay quality!)

huhhh...only one month away from exams. as april ends, this may be the last night where i get to spend lots of time on the net and such. so i think i'll say my goodbyes now...to facebook & msn & perving...oh please not the perving! :(

on the bright side, i'm looking forward to the last bridgidine day as well! i don't care what theme it is, i wanna be a microsoft icon! i don't know which one yet, maybe microsoft word or windows live messenger or windows media player or nero?

hopefully this cute video will help me out ;)

that's it! after crucial pondering, i want to be...MICROSOFT WORD :)

28: your year in great detail

eeek...! the year? it's hard to remember all the details even though it's only the fourth month but nevertheless, i will try my best and sorry for the briefness!

january:

i welcomed in the new year by being surrounded by the family infront of the tv watching the fireworks. this year, we didn't go into melbourne to see the fireworks as we would usually do. my grandma and i disliked this family "tradition" because it was time consuming and the last time we took the wrong tram and i almost cried at the lonely dark station waiting for the right tram to take us back to melbourne.

so it was 2010 guys, the year of us. i was going to have my very last year of high school and was looking foward to working to the best to my ability in hope of securing a place at uni.

it was still the holidays so i chilled around, once again nestled at home away from the summer heat. my brain had basically turned into mush during this period.

feburary:

chinese new year = family reunions = food = money

it was also the start of school. my school photos turned out actually alright for once this year. not only i was satisfied with that, i was also satisfied with my homeroom, teachers and mostly all my subjects (except chem, i fear it). some habits were hard to get rid of from the previous years, for example: napping, lazying around, facebook...yeah you know what i mean.

swimming sports; for some reason, i didn't get called out to get my name put down in for an event. i forgot about mr.grieg's advice that uv rays can still travel through the clouds and got sunburnt on my lovely face.

march:

there was one thing that was on everyones mind: retreat.

i loved it, the scenary was beautiful and i miss it badly. maybe after the year, i'd ask my parents to take me into the country side again for bushwalking or whatever. i've made new friends and caught up with old friends that have been with me for the last six years. thinking about the time when we all had to hug each other almost made me cry. it was also a brilliant chance to unwind and relax with our friends.

i had given up watching dramas and movies at this time. i think vaguely that msn was also a no no. school was sometimes a blur. i began to push myself by waking up at 5am in the morning to do homework too and catch up on stuff. for once, i also had little awareness of what was happening to the korean entertainment media. i was still walking, at this stage of the vce race, soon i'd had to pick up the speed.

27: your month in great detail

April started in the holidays, well maybe the term "holidays" isn't as correct. let's start again.

April 2010 started during home study between term 1 and term 2. relieved that term 1 was over, i began counting down the days, weeks, months until school ended...forever! time was flying by instantly and sometimes it was a bit intimitating. i slept into the early afternoon and stayed wide awake during the early hours of the morning. even the sound of birds before dawn were irritating to hear! i didn't go out during home study so most of the time was spent indoors, protected from the sun and nestled in bed.

i spent the first morning of school paying back everyone's loans whether for food or for chipping in my share of presents. it was also the return of the winter uniform. i actually don't mind the design, it makes you look intelligent. yet again, i didn't grow so i had to roll up the skirt by about 2 inches just to keep my cool for the year. i had my visual perception test on wednesday and went in there calm and collected. i breezed through it and got back a 97 (Y).

the next week....please see previous post!

26: your week in detail

i'm gonna give myself exactly 15 minutes to sum up my week and then knuckle down in some chemistry hw, already, one, two...three!

last monday:

let's see, it was day 2 so that meant i had double chem at the end of the day. i'm use to the duration of chem lessons now since i've spent one whole day on it on the holidays; not the content of course, but i'm still trying to make peace with it. i recieved my psych sac back too. for some spooky reason, meilin and i had the same score again! lunchtime was alright, somethings were discovered in ways that seemed unwelcomed to me. i was speechless for a while, pissed off but i know that if you gave me time, i will eventually get over. there's no point dwelling on it.

last tuesday:

oh, i had a double of english in the morning with a sub, my memory is blurred at this moment because i remember spending the double unproductively. yen, pamela, sophie and i went in circles beginning with the statement "i'd do..." completing the sentence with one of our sexual desires. i was also addicted to the song "baby" by justin boobies. i found it therapeutic and calming when i was stressed about work. seeing people uncomfortable is rather amusing to me. i will continue to sing baby during english and lunchtimes now.

last wednesday:

first up in the morning was a double study. yes! i could finish off my psych questions in that time. there i was furiously tapping away on the keyboard but after that my right hand felt really cramped.

last thursday:

p/t interviews. even though it was a day off, no way was it relaxing. i had to catch up on homework and my mum had to face my chemistry and english teacher. she came home so disappointed at me, lecturing on my academic behaviour and such. this continued throughout the night and into the next day. honestly, sometimes parents only focus on the result, they don't realise the journey or the perserverance you had to commit yourself to get that mark. all they care about more is whether i fail or pass. they've only told me once, not even to me actually, to my teachers that they know that i had worked hard. they never told me that to my face. this is the support that i want to hear from them, not do this or else this happens. acknowledge me for my efforts please? when other relatives ask them what their daughter is going to be, they say "we just have to wait for what she can get to" when others ask "what uni does she want to go to?" they say to them "let's see if she can actually get into a uni first"

that's why when they ask me personally what i want to do in the future i just say "i don't know" when i do actually know what i want. i want to get into a science course and if i told them that, they'd just add more pressure on me. so if i don't get in it, that'll be even a more disappointment for them. i'm going to work for that, so let me be okay?

last friday:

while brushing my teeth, my mum asked me "which tutor does your friend go to? let's try that one". fuck it. i replied "tutor isn't the answer to everything" and a good morning to you too.

i couldn't wait to get out the house, away from all the lectures and the depression. pissed off at all the vce talk, my marks and my potential, i was so glad to have found some comfort in my friends. they are like my second family, when the first family doesn't listen to you. i love them so much :')

i recieved my english sac back with 16/20, yet she told my mum that i got 12/20. this is weird, i must go and see her about this soon.

last saturday:

slept in, roamed around and waited in 8 degrees coldness counting down the hours to lan's birthday <3

yesterday:

please see previous post.

today:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAN DINH!!!! MY ERNIE!!!!

woke up at 10am, i was supposed to be at lan's house at 10:30am! i quickly put on my face and clothes and headed straight out the door with lan's present. i hopped out of my dad's car and before i reached her porch, she opened the door :)

i handed over her present and she unwrapped it. it was a little ernie. why would i give her that? because she is ernie to me. (yes i am bert) lan drives me insane, when ernie says "let's play the drums at night" to bert when he tries to sleep, lan says "let's go to the zoo, museum, park, maccas!" to me. do you see the resemblence there?

while walking to the gold leaf with lan to celebrate her birthday, steph called out to us from the road in her car offering us a lift. i was relieved and glad that we didn't have to walk to the other side of springvale however from a distance, if you saw two girls hopping into a car, isn't it a bit...dangerous?

we sat at our tables waiting for anne and jennie to come. the place was packed and we assumed it was everyone else's birthday as well. the fact was proven when steven and andrew, which was also their birthday were situated in the restaurant too. maybe it was destiny for lan? ;)

jennie and anne finally arrived and we were all anticipating for one thing, ha kao!!!! i asked for those dumplings to nearly every waitress who came by with or without the trays. the food tasted great and most of the servings were quite big. thanks to jennie for giving me a free mango pudding :) she grabbed it from the bottom tray while the waitress grabbed our dumplings on the top tray. after serving, she only circled one dish on our bill. score~!

happily satisfied, anne and i decided to give a quick happy birthday to andrew before walking out. the bill totaled $93.00 exactly, thank you to lan who paid for the rest of the bill.

jennie called her boyfriend and he arrived in his car offering us a lift a ride back. since he was still on his P plates, carrying an extra four passengers wasn't allowed. anne, steph and lan had their seats and guess who sat at the bottom of the car with my takeaway boxes? me! there were some motion sickness because i was close to the ground and could feel the car's movement down the ramp and when he turned around corners. he stopped at springvale library and i tried my best not to fall backwards as lan opened the door. he didn't know that i was sitting in a foetal position the whole time in the car until he turned around! i staggered out of the car and said my goodbyes and thankyous to jennie and her bf and anne.

while walking past the school, some dude made kissing noises as he saw us. we picked up the speed and didn't dare turn back. perverted freaks.

steph and i chilled at lan's house until i went home. not long as i arrived back, my uncle and my cousins came over. my uncle had just finished his business trip from england so he came to tell his stories with slideshows from his camera to the lcd. it was intriguing, i want to go to england now :( the atmosphere and the buildings were beautiful, but i just had to see the real thing. maybe after this vce shit, i will.

my cousin was eating an ice cream with her cone and i accidently knocked into her which made her drop it. then i had a good idea. instead of throwing it into the bin, we decided to feed it to the neighbour's dog. we both climbed onto the fence and threw the icecream to the dog. it ate the icecream completely but luckily the owner didn't see us.

let's see what this week has to offer...

25: your day in great detail

ANZAC DAY LEST WE FORGET. STUFF THOSE HEARTLESS JERKS WHO VANDALISED AN ANZAC MOMENTEM TODAY.

my hands are freezing as i am typing this out however, just hearing the crunch of the keyboard is quite amusing tonight.

i woke up at 10am to the sound of my grandparents fighting over my grandpa's habit of not letting go of useless things. he had either an old shirt he didn't want to throw out or the fan that sat in the garage for some years now, i wasn't really sure, i was still a bit dazed. i went back to sleep and woke up again at 12:30am. i rolled around, twisted in my sheets until my mum came to my room to check on me. she told me that i could sleep in for another half an hour until 1pm and then come out to eat porridge.

after i kicked all the blankets off me, i stretched out my legs and rolled to the side of the bed forcing myself to get up or risk falling onto the ground. i checked myself in the mirror; sex hair and all, it was time to put my face on.

at 2pm, i went to kevin's tutor. as i hopped off the car, a student in my class was about to close the gates until he saw me so he left it open. i guess there is some sort of niceness from his pervertness. i gave kevin my jubilant hello as usual and plopped my bag on the table.

while staring at my tests, i couldn't help but hear random shouting at nintendos about which pokemon to evolve. since i was evil and cold hearted, i decided to tell them the pokemon theory of how ash is actually in a coma and that all his adventures came from his unconcious mind.

i destroyed three childhoods today.

oh, oh! and kevin caught a slug which was found at the tutor toilets on the mirror. yes the mirror, so it must be one smart slug. i wanted to name it toby, but another person named it sluggie and someone else called it simba. the two of them prodded the slug with a pen and it kind of played dead...i think. kevin wouldn't be happy about that. everyone wanted to salt the slug too and see it froth up and die, but kevin said no.

during break, a little kid pushed another little kid and he started to sob. luckily, kevin's "parenting" skills came in. he rubbed the kid's shoulders and told him to "shake it off". the crying continued so yoko came and comforted him.

i decided to show off my skills by throwing the sultanas from my eclipse box high into the air and catching them into my mouth. this sadly caused me a headache because i had to also throw my head back several times. who knew getting attention would've been so painful? :(

i'm at home now and went on facebook for a bit an hour ago. once again i saw one of eddie's post about his adoration for his girlfriend. i decided to tell him that this made single people sad. the idea of having someone to hold you tightly when you're all falling apart is no doubt envious. but my time will come, it's okay, i can wait :)

so that was my little lovesick thing for today's post. i watched the awesome new episode of merlin. who knew having arthur's abs as the first few minutes of the show was so awesome? and ewww...he's going for gwen...[spoiler, whoops too late]

it's 9:58pm now, and that was my day! thank you for reading :)
