eeek...! the year? it's hard to remember all the details even though it's only the fourth month but nevertheless, i will try my best and sorry for the briefness!
january:
i welcomed in the new year by being surrounded by the family infront of the tv watching the fireworks. this year, we didn't go into melbourne to see the fireworks as we would usually do. my grandma and i disliked this family "tradition" because it was time consuming and the last time we took the wrong tram and i almost cried at the lonely dark station waiting for the right tram to take us back to melbourne.
so it was 2010 guys, the year of us. i was going to have my very last year of high school and was looking foward to working to the best to my ability in hope of securing a place at uni.
it was still the holidays so i chilled around, once again nestled at home away from the summer heat. my brain had basically turned into mush during this period.
feburary:
chinese new year = family reunions = food = money
it was also the start of school. my school photos turned out actually alright for once this year. not only i was satisfied with that, i was also satisfied with my homeroom, teachers and mostly all my subjects (except chem, i fear it). some habits were hard to get rid of from the previous years, for example: napping, lazying around, facebook...yeah you know what i mean.
swimming sports; for some reason, i didn't get called out to get my name put down in for an event. i forgot about mr.grieg's advice that uv rays can still travel through the clouds and got sunburnt on my lovely face.
march:
there was one thing that was on everyones mind: retreat.
i loved it, the scenary was beautiful and i miss it badly. maybe after the year, i'd ask my parents to take me into the country side again for bushwalking or whatever. i've made new friends and caught up with old friends that have been with me for the last six years. thinking about the time when we all had to hug each other almost made me cry. it was also a brilliant chance to unwind and relax with our friends.
i had given up watching dramas and movies at this time. i think vaguely that msn was also a no no. school was sometimes a blur. i began to push myself by waking up at 5am in the morning to do homework too and catch up on stuff. for once, i also had little awareness of what was happening to the korean entertainment media. i was still walking, at this stage of the vce race, soon i'd had to pick up the speed.
april: see previous post!
