26: your week in detail

i'm gonna give myself exactly 15 minutes to sum up my week and then knuckle down in some chemistry hw, already, one, two...three!

last monday:

let's see, it was day 2 so that meant i had double chem at the end of the day. i'm use to the duration of chem lessons now since i've spent one whole day on it on the holidays; not the content of course, but i'm still trying to make peace with it. i recieved my psych sac back too. for some spooky reason, meilin and i had the same score again! lunchtime was alright, somethings were discovered in ways that seemed unwelcomed to me. i was speechless for a while, pissed off but i know that if you gave me time, i will eventually get over. there's no point dwelling on it.

last tuesday:

oh, i had a double of english in the morning with a sub, my memory is blurred at this moment because i remember spending the double unproductively. yen, pamela, sophie and i went in circles beginning with the statement "i'd do..." completing the sentence with one of our sexual desires. i was also addicted to the song "baby" by justin boobies. i found it therapeutic and calming when i was stressed about work. seeing people uncomfortable is rather amusing to me. i will continue to sing baby during english and lunchtimes now.

last wednesday:

first up in the morning was a double study. yes! i could finish off my psych questions in that time. there i was furiously tapping away on the keyboard but after that my right hand felt really cramped.

last thursday:

p/t interviews. even though it was a day off, no way was it relaxing. i had to catch up on homework and my mum had to face my chemistry and english teacher. she came home so disappointed at me, lecturing on my academic behaviour and such. this continued throughout the night and into the next day. honestly, sometimes parents only focus on the result, they don't realise the journey or the perserverance you had to commit yourself to get that mark. all they care about more is whether i fail or pass. they've only told me once, not even to me actually, to my teachers that they know that i had worked hard. they never told me that to my face. this is the support that i want to hear from them, not do this or else this happens. acknowledge me for my efforts please? when other relatives ask them what their daughter is going to be, they say "we just have to wait for what she can get to" when others ask "what uni does she want to go to?" they say to them "let's see if she can actually get into a uni first"

that's why when they ask me personally what i want to do in the future i just say "i don't know" when i do actually know what i want. i want to get into a science course and if i told them that, they'd just add more pressure on me. so if i don't get in it, that'll be even a more disappointment for them. i'm going to work for that, so let me be okay?

last friday:

while brushing my teeth, my mum asked me "which tutor does your friend go to? let's try that one". fuck it. i replied "tutor isn't the answer to everything" and a good morning to you too.

i couldn't wait to get out the house, away from all the lectures and the depression. pissed off at all the vce talk, my marks and my potential, i was so glad to have found some comfort in my friends. they are like my second family, when the first family doesn't listen to you. i love them so much :')

i recieved my english sac back with 16/20, yet she told my mum that i got 12/20. this is weird, i must go and see her about this soon.

last saturday:

slept in, roamed around and waited in 8 degrees coldness counting down the hours to lan's birthday <3

yesterday:

please see previous post.

today:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAN DINH!!!! MY ERNIE!!!!

woke up at 10am, i was supposed to be at lan's house at 10:30am! i quickly put on my face and clothes and headed straight out the door with lan's present. i hopped out of my dad's car and before i reached her porch, she opened the door :)

i handed over her present and she unwrapped it. it was a little ernie. why would i give her that? because she is ernie to me. (yes i am bert) lan drives me insane, when ernie says "let's play the drums at night" to bert when he tries to sleep, lan says "let's go to the zoo, museum, park, maccas!" to me. do you see the resemblence there?

while walking to the gold leaf with lan to celebrate her birthday, steph called out to us from the road in her car offering us a lift. i was relieved and glad that we didn't have to walk to the other side of springvale however from a distance, if you saw two girls hopping into a car, isn't it a bit...dangerous?

we sat at our tables waiting for anne and jennie to come. the place was packed and we assumed it was everyone else's birthday as well. the fact was proven when steven and andrew, which was also their birthday were situated in the restaurant too. maybe it was destiny for lan? ;)

jennie and anne finally arrived and we were all anticipating for one thing, ha kao!!!! i asked for those dumplings to nearly every waitress who came by with or without the trays. the food tasted great and most of the servings were quite big. thanks to jennie for giving me a free mango pudding :) she grabbed it from the bottom tray while the waitress grabbed our dumplings on the top tray. after serving, she only circled one dish on our bill. score~!

happily satisfied, anne and i decided to give a quick happy birthday to andrew before walking out. the bill totaled $93.00 exactly, thank you to lan who paid for the rest of the bill.

jennie called her boyfriend and he arrived in his car offering us a lift a ride back. since he was still on his P plates, carrying an extra four passengers wasn't allowed. anne, steph and lan had their seats and guess who sat at the bottom of the car with my takeaway boxes? me! there were some motion sickness because i was close to the ground and could feel the car's movement down the ramp and when he turned around corners. he stopped at springvale library and i tried my best not to fall backwards as lan opened the door. he didn't know that i was sitting in a foetal position the whole time in the car until he turned around! i staggered out of the car and said my goodbyes and thankyous to jennie and her bf and anne.

while walking past the school, some dude made kissing noises as he saw us. we picked up the speed and didn't dare turn back. perverted freaks.

steph and i chilled at lan's house until i went home. not long as i arrived back, my uncle and my cousins came over. my uncle had just finished his business trip from england so he came to tell his stories with slideshows from his camera to the lcd. it was intriguing, i want to go to england now :( the atmosphere and the buildings were beautiful, but i just had to see the real thing. maybe after this vce shit, i will.

my cousin was eating an ice cream with her cone and i accidently knocked into her which made her drop it. then i had a good idea. instead of throwing it into the bin, we decided to feed it to the neighbour's dog. we both climbed onto the fence and threw the icecream to the dog. it ate the icecream completely but luckily the owner didn't see us.

let's see what this week has to offer...
